100 Days to Go, May 1st 2019

This is the start of the hundred day countdown to retirement, as of writing this I am wondering what 100 days I will be using, let me explain.

As I countdown to retirement there are two dates I am working towards, no pun intended.

The first one is when I will be done in the office prior to my vacation and using up my personal days.

The second date is my actual retirement day which is September 16th, this is the official day and although I will have never been off prior to this date for close to four weeks, it is a day I will be going into the office for to go through the last day process of handing in my keys, emptying my office and, in my case, disable my computer accounts.

So today is a celebration day, the last 100 days of working for GPPSD, but as you will see I have plans for the future which will involve me doing some kind of work, and what that will be is unknown right now.

I had written the above a while ago, waiting for the day to come so I could post it, was not expecting to be posting it from a hospital bed, in ICU as well.

Ventricular Tachycardia is what the diagnosis is and I will be off to Edmonton on Friday to have a ICD implanted which should help me and enable me to continue to run, although I think it will take me a while to get the courage up to actually run.

So, Day 100 is bittersweet, but it is what it is and I am alive, I will do a post about the whole event next week.
